What we know about you

Only what you typed yourself, and only so we can bake your order and get it to you. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no third-party trackers — nothing here follows you to the next site you visit.

What we collect

Only what you put into a form. The contact form takes your name, your email address and your message. Placing an order takes the name, address and email you type at checkout, and what you ordered — that becomes an order record we keep, because it is how the tin reaches you and how a refund is worked out later. Your card details are typed into our payment processor's own form and never reach this site. If you ask to be told when we ship to your state, we keep that email address and the ZIP code you gave with it. That is the whole list.

Cookies and tracking

There are none — the edible kind is the only kind we deal in. No cookies of any sort, and no analytics, advertising or social scripts. One thing is kept on your device: your basket, so it is still there if you close the tab and come back. It holds tin sizes and how many of each and nothing else — no name, no address, no card — it never leaves your browser, and emptying the basket erases it. Even the language you are reading is part of the address rather than something we kept.

What we do with it

We answer you, we bake what you ordered, and we get it to you. That last part means two other companies necessarily see some of it: our payment processor takes your card and the billing details that go with it, and the carrier gets your name and address printed on the label, because a parcel cannot be addressed without them. Neither one is an advertiser. We do not sell what we hold, we do not rent it, and we do not hand it to anyone whose business is advertising.

How long we keep it

Messages stay in the mailbox they arrived in for as long as they are useful to answer. An address left for a shipping notice is kept until we have written to you about it, or until you ask us to drop it — whichever comes first. An order is different: once money has changed hands the record is a receipt, and we keep it for 7 years, because tax rules and card disputes both reach back years.

Asking us to delete it

Write to us and say so. We will delete what we hold and tell you when it is done. The one thing we cannot delete is a paid order while we are still required to keep it — a receipt is not ours to erase — so we will tell you what is staying and when it goes. You do not owe us a reason, and asking will not affect an order you have already placed.
