Refunds

If something is wrong

Tell us. Food that has been delivered cannot be sent back, so anything that goes wrong is put right with a replacement or a refund rather than a return.

Why there are no returns

Everything we bake is perishable and made to order for you. Once it has left the kitchen it cannot be sold to anyone else, so there is nothing useful about posting it back. That does not mean you are stuck with a bad order — it means we fix it a different way.

If it arrives wrong or damaged

Write to us within 3 days of it arriving, with a photograph of the tin and what was inside it. If we got it wrong, or the box did, you get it remade or refunded — your choice, and we will not ask you to post anything back to us.

If it arrives late

The promise is 3 days in transit. If a carrier misses that by enough that what arrives is not the thing we baked, that is ours to fix and not yours to absorb, and it is handled the same way as damage.

Changing or cancelling

Before we bake, cancel and be refunded in full. Once a thing is in the oven for you it cannot be un-made, and a booked cake date is a date we turned other work away for — so tell us as early as you can.

How a refund is paid

Back to the card that paid, not as a credit note. It leaves us the day we agree it; how long it then takes to appear is your bank's business rather than ours.

Anything here unclear?

Ask, and we will say what it means in plain words. A person reads every message.
